Brief description of Research:
The purpose of this study is to see if the amount of time a person spends playing video games can influence their perceived stress level, perceived loneliness, and level of depressive symptoms. This study will also try to see if the amount of time spent playing video games can also be used to predict these variables. This study is necessary to improve our understanding on how video games might affect our mental health. Not only that, it would also contribute to a much greater understanding to this hotly debated topic.
There are no expected risks to participating in this study, and all are welcome to answer; video gamers (i.e; those who play mobile games, computer games, or console games (e.g: Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo)) and non-video gamers, as long as you are a Malaysian citizen. The questionnaire will take about 5 to 10 mins to complete in its entirety.
