Brief description of Research: The aim of the study is to find the link between different parenting styles and the positive psychological well-being of students in Malaysia. The study will comprise three objectives. Firstly, to investigate if permissive, authoritarian or authoritative parenting styles has an effect on the positive psychological well-being of students. Secondly, to identify if maternal or paternal parenting styles have an impact on the positive psychological well-being of students. Lastly, to investigate if different ethnic and racial groups mitigate different parenting styles, which predicts the positive psychological well-being of students.
